- It is treated with a safe chemical compound which makes the paper highly flame resistant.
- The Borate chemical compound in cellulose is the same as what is found in insect treatments for homes. The product isextremely irritating to bugs and other pests.
- Cellulose is an excellent product for retrofitting existing homes because of its flexibility.
- It can be installed in attics, behind netting and it has a high enough density to be installed in cavities with old insulation.
- Densely packed cellulose in sidewalls is an good air barrier and insulator.
