Benefits of K13 Spray Insulation
The Hayes Company offers K-13 Spray Applied Insulation, a product specifically tailored to meet acoustical, fire, and thermal requirements in exposed applications.
Acoustical Performance
The fibers of K-13 absorb sound energy instead of reflecting it. This reduces reverberation time which makes speech and music much more intelligible. Excessive noise is eliminated and ambient sound quality is greatly improved. Ask for test data to see more information on sound performance.
Fire Performance Ratings
K-13 has a Class 1, Class A flame spread rating per ASTM. It is approved as a protective coating and interior finish material in Categories 1,2,3,4, and 5.
Thermal Performance
K-13 insulates by creating dead air spaces between and within its hollow fibers. K-13 not only has an excellent R-Value at 3 per inch, but because K-13 fibers are sprayed-in-place, they fill cracks, seams and voids, over the substrate which helps reduce air infiltration.
