Why would I want to use a open cell instead of a closed cell foam?

1. Value - Open cell foams are the most affordable air barrier insulation system.

2. Moisture management - This factor is extremely influenced by the climate.  Open cell foams allow water and vapor to pass through the material.  In most applications in our climate, this is appropriate to prevent moisture buildup and deterioration.

3. Flexibility - Open cell foams are pliable. This allows for the natural movement and settling of the home without damaging the integrity of the system. This also allows for easy modification to the construction of the house.
