What is Home Performance?

Home Performance is exactly what it sounds like: the Performance of your Home. The three main categories that Home Performance includes are health, comfort, and resource efficiency.  By resource efficiency we mean efficiency in the use of of those two most necessary resources, energy and water.

What is a Green Home and how does it relate to Home Performance?

The terms are very related.  A green home is a home that rates very highly on the home performance scale.  A green home also usually implies that the home owner makes several lifestyle changes to live in a sustainable manner.

How Do I Start Improving my Home's Performance?

The best way to get started on Home Performance work is to diagnose what the problems in the house are.  This can be done by the homeowner  who usually has a very good idea of what the problems of their home are, but it is also an excellent idea to be assisted by a Home Performance Auditor who has experience and training to recognize problems and their solutions.
