Tom Hayes

Tom Hayes founded Hayes Insulation in 1978. In 2004, when the company grew and added additional products and services, Hayes Insulation became The Hayes Company. Tom has the pleasure of spending each day working with his family, seeing them carry on the tradition of honesty and integrity that the company was founded on.

In his free time, Tom likes to golf, travel and vacation with his family. He is an avid KU basketball fan and enjoys watching Sporting KC Soccer. Tom is thankful to have built a platform where he can positively influence the lives of others.

Chief Operating Officer

Tim Hayes

Like his brothers and starting from a young age, Tim has worked many different jobs at The Hayes Company including Shelving Fabrication, Air Sealing Tech, Glass Fabricator, Energy Efficiency Consultant, and then later on several different Sales and Management positions.

His career also included work in Commercial Loans as well as in Project Management in the Software Industry which has given him a first-hand view of a variety of companies. Tim values the opportunity to be involved with the Leadership Team at The Hayes Company and to be able to influence operational and strategic decisions directly. The Hayes Leadership Team strives to give team members a significant amount of both freedom and responsibility in their positions. This philosophy has yielded a loyal team who creates great relationships and real value for clients.

Tim and his wife Sarah have four sons who keep them very busy.  Tim has coached each of his sons in soccer and basketball, and the family is very involved with their church. Tim and Sarah can frequently be found playing (much younger) people in sand volleyball. Tim is considered around the company to be a “nerd” and has stereotypical tendencies like science fiction novels, superhero movies and video games.

Vice President

Zac Hayes

Zac believes in giving customers the best service possible. As Vice President of The Hayes Company, he supports the entire Hayes team in their efforts to do the same. Zac began working in the family business part time in 1994 at the age of ten, installing rock wool batts with his older brother Tim. He joined the company full time in 2006.

When Zac is not working, he spends as much time as possible with his wife and five young children. Zac takes great satisfaction in carrying on his family company’s legacy of excellence.

Chief Financial Officer

Philip Hayes

Philip serves as the Chief Financial Officer for The Hayes Company. He joined the company in 2010 and has served in a variety of roles. Each day Philip works together with team members to improve business systems to continually provide better products and excellent customer service. He also enjoys the opportunity to work alongside his family.

Philip enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters. He also enjoys traveling, watching Sporting Kansas City and playing Mario Kart.

Branch Manager, Nashville

Pete Hayes

Pete Hayes officially joined The Hayes Company in 2017. Prior to joining the company and launching the Nashville branch, Pete worked in the automotive industry. Growing up he spent most summers working for his father’s insulation company. Pete joined The Hayes Company because of his belief in continuing and strengthening the legacy of his father’s company. Working with his family is not a bad thing either – Pete enjoys the opportunity to work with his brothers.

Pete’s favorite part of the job is the opportunity to build and strengthen relationships with The Hayes Company employees and builder customers. His free time consists of spending time with his kids and enjoying a book when time allows.

Senior Project Manager/ Estimator

Kevin Adams

Kevin Adams has been part of The Hayes Company team since 1986. Kevin is responsible for insulation and fireplace projects in our east territory and purchasing for our fireplace division. Kevin loves meeting onsite with customers to see firsthand how The Hayes Company services can help a customer save money on energy bills and increase their home’s comfort. Kevin spends his free time attending motorsports events.

Senior Insulation Specialist

Chad Chase

Chad works with both insulation and fireplace customers. He enjoys solving the unique challenges that come his way each day.

Chad has been part of The Hayes Company team since 2016. He loves fishing and spending time attending his children’s activities.

Spray Foam Division Manager

Kurt Christensen

Kurt Christensen joined the Hayes team in July of 2022 as our Spray Foam Division Manager for our Kansas City location. In his spare time he enjoys watching movies, working out, playing golf and finding new breweries to try. He is excited to be a part of the Hayes team and says the best things about his new position are the culture of the Hayes Company and the people he works with.

Fireplace Inside Sales / Customer Service Representative

Jess Christie

Jess Christie joined The Hayes Company family in June 2023 as a Fireplace Inside Sales and Customer Service Representative. He is excited about working with customers and learning a new industry. In his free time, Jess enjoys racing RC cars, traveling with his wife, and spending time with his two Boston terriers.

Home Energy and Sales Consultant/ Energy Auditor

Jeff Classen

Since 2007, Jeff has been serving customers of The Hayes Company with home energy services including performing energy audits. Jeff’s favorite part of his job is solving complex problems such as high humidity levels, condensation, indoor air quality and more. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing guitar, building furniture, keeping up on energy trends and directing music at his church.

Insulation Division Manager

Jeremy Dillon

Since joining The Hayes Company in 2006, Jeremy has served in a variety of roles. He currently services as Insulation Division Manager at our Kansas City location. In addition to working with our crews and customers, one of his favorite parts of The Hayes Company is the fun work environment. In his free time, Jeremy can be found participating in a variety of sports including his favorite sport, softball.

Office Administrator and Accounting Assistant

Brandy Eckert

Brandy joined the company in 2018. In addition to her daily tasks, Brandy loves the fun work environment at The Hayes Company. Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her kids and family and doing outdoor activities.

Senior Glass Sales Consultant

Marvin Feldman

Marvin has been with The Hayes Company since 2003. He works with customers to understand their needs and develop solutions to their problems. Marvin enjoys spending his free time working as a baseball umpire.

Office Administrator, Nashville

Mary Guilbert

Mary joined The Hayes Company Nashville team in the summer of 2021 as the office administrator. Mary says the best part of her job is getting to do the work she loves in a fun, supportive, and respectable work environment. In her spare time, Mary can be found spending time with her kids or working on projects around her house.

Glass Division Manager

Jason Harris

Jason has been helping The Hayes Company customers since 2004. He enjoys all aspects of working with customers. From the sale of a job to the installation, he loves helping homeowners’ dream bathrooms come together.

Jason enjoys many hobbies. You can find him coaching Club Soccer, spending time with his wife and three kids, playing disc golf or spending time with friends.

Fireplace Manager/Sales Consultant

David Jackson

David has over two decades of experience in sales and account management. His favorite part of sales is the relationships he builds with his clients, helping them get everything they need from start to finish. David joined The Hayes Company because of the company’s culture and integrity. Outside the office, David enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, attending Jayhawk basketball games and Sporting KC games.

Estimator

Anya Kolar

Anya joined the Hayes Company team in 2021 as a part-time estimator and has transitioned to a full-time position. She works remotely from Alaska but is originally from Ukraine. Her entire family works in industrial construction, which sparked her interest in this role. Her aunt, who works as a project manager and cost estimator, inspired Anya to join the field of estimating and taught her about the trade. This education gave Anya the opportunity to continue as an estimator when she moved to the U.S.

Anya enjoys challenges and the chance to learn new things, including more about insulation. She is thankful for her job and says her favorite part is the teamwork that’s displayed by her excellent management and coworkers. In her free time, she loves to travel and spend time doing outdoor activities with her sons.

Adam Lynch

Since 2003 Adam has been helping homeowners and families in the Kansas City area dramatically improve the comfort level inside their home. Adam loves customizing practical, affordable plans to help reduce energy costs, save money and make homes more comfortable.

When not consulting with future clients, Adam enjoys spending time with his daughter and grandchildren. He is an animal lover with a soft spot for dogs. He is a hospice volunteer and organizes his community’s Red Kettle Campaign for the Salvation Army.

Mike O’Connell

Mike is a former Marine who first got his start in the insulation and weatherization business over 40 years ago. For many years, Mike successfully ran his own company, The Insulation Professional, before a successful merger with The Hayes Company.

Division Manager/Energy Consultant

Dan Shandy

Dan joined the Hayes team in 2011. With his many daily responsibilities, he most enjoys the variety of energy challenges he finds in customer homes. Dan feels that there is never a dull moment in his work and he enjoys working with customers to help increase their comfort and reduce energy expenses. When he is not helping customers, Dan enjoys woodworking and doing home repairs.

Operations Manager, Nashville

Donnie Stuart

Donnie joined The Hayes Company’s Nashville team in 2022 as Operations Manager. His favorite part of his role is having the opportunity to help homeowners and builders turn houses into homes by taking care of both the big and small things for them. Donnie also enjoys creating a fun culture with his Nashville team. In his down time, he loves to hike, play sports, and go on adventures with his family.

Bob Tidd

Bob has been a member of The Hayes Company team since 2004. He brings to his customers 40 years of industry experience, helping them achieve the best possible outcome for their project. Outside the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. He has a passion for antique aircrafts, loves participating in weekend car cruises and enjoys attending car shows.
